A situation room that runs on your computer.

Download one file, open it, and Vigía starts reading. No one else's server in between: your data, your keys and your history stay with you.

Every response is validated, normalised and archived with its history. Gaps, changes and counts come from tested code, not from a model.

02What it shows

22 panels and a map. Each answers one question.

What is the dollar at? Is the internet down? Was there a quake? Real crops of the app, with the names of whoever publishes each figure.

Dollar: BCV and parallel
The central bank's official rate and parallel quotes from named sources, side by side. Code computes the gap; there is never a “Vigía rate”.

What Vigía never does is what makes it useful.

Many dashboards win on atmosphere: red, blinking, figures from nowhere. Vigía wins on the opposite: calm, sources and times.

Every figure, with its source and its time
Who published it, when it was valid, when it arrived, its licence and a link to the original. No exceptions.

Stale never passes for live
Every source has a freshness budget. If it fails, you see the last good value with its real age and a stale mark; the status page says what is failing.

Numbers are code, never a model
Rates, gaps, counts and changes come from deterministic, tested code. No model invents or rounds a figure.

Contested figures, side by side
The official rate beside the parallel ones, each with its name; official beside independent. Never one blended number.

Events and places, not people
No names, faces or handles of private people; no tracking of military aircraft or ships. Nor of you: no account, no analytics, no tracking.

AI is optional, and labelled
The core uses no AI. If you turn it on, it classifies and summarises with its measured accuracy shown, links its sources and spends only the budget you set.

One file. No account. No keys.

With zero keys, 309 sources start filling the screen within a minute or two. Optional keys (NASA FIRMS, free; Jev or Anthropic within a budget you set) are added from the guide (/guia) and never leave your machine except to their own service.

Download the .zip, right-click → “Extract All” and open vigia.exe inside the folder. Or, in PowerShell, from your downloads folder:

First run: the file is not signed by Microsoft yet, so SmartScreen may say “Windows protected your PC”. Choose “More info” → “Run anyway”. If the window closes by itself, run it from PowerShell to read the message (for example, port 7722 taken: use --port 8080).

Check your download: Get-FileHash .\vigia-0.1.6-windows-x64.zip and compare the result with its line in SHA256SUMS, attached to the same release.

Files of 20 to 44 MB, nothing else to install; each holds a folder with the program, LICENSE and NOTICE. Windows and macOS are new: every file starts and answers in an automated test on its own system before it is published, but few people have used them yet. If something fails, open an issue with what the terminal prints.

Everything on your machine

Your history stays in a local SQLite database, sealed every day into a SHA-256 chain that vigia verify checks offline.
Open Vigía on other devices on your network with --host 0.0.0.0; settings only change from your computer.

In the terminal, too

No browser needed: curl localhost:7722 prints the situation as plain text, 80 columns, every line with its source and the age of its data. Handy on a server, over SSH or on a bad connection.

An open, versioned API

Your Vigía serves every panel, source and series with its history at /api/v1, as JSON or CSV, with OpenAPI and rate limits. Every figure taken from a source carries its source, its licence and both times (when it was valid and when it arrived); computed ones name their panel's sources.

One process, one contract, every source tested.

One Bun process reads sources through adapters, stores every observation in SQLite with its history, computes each panel in tested code and serves a small client over HTTP and live events.
